Classic Game Room reviews the Cabela’s TOP SHOT ELITE assault rifle gun accessory for Playstation 3 PS3 with the wireless sensor bar. The Top Shot Elite is a “light gun” style gun peripheral for video games like Cabela’s North American Adventures and Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011. It comes with a wireless sensor bar for PS3 and Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii version works with the Wiimote. From Cabela’s and Activision, the Top Shot Elite gun comes with Dangerous Hunts 2011 and works well with PS3 and Xbox 360. The Top Shot Elite and Sensor bar both use two AA batteries (all four included with Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011 and Top Shot Elite bundle). XBOX360 has been modded from top to bottom. Case has been professionally painted with several coats of primer, paint and gloss. The hard drive is a custom 120GB with lighting which I did. The custom Blue Whisper fans provide a nice airflow. DVD drive has also been custom cut and painted by me. I solder the RF Board with yellow and blue led lights to match the system. Overall I am very happy with this project.

*UPDATED* Side by side noise comparison of a 2010 Xbox 360 Slim vs a 2007 Xbox 360. Additional data transfer (w/ transfer kit cable) and content licenses transfer. Fairly boring and unscientific but i figured someone might appreciate it. 6/19 NOISE UPDATE: i’ve been testing/playing games on the 2010 unit (without installing them on the hard drive) and i’ve discovered the following games cause the unit to make noise (not a racket but certainly louder than most other titles): BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY 2 FALLOUT 3 COD: MODERN WARFARE 2 i installed those 3 titles and then they didn’t make a sound while playing. In contrast the following games are very quiet without installation: ALAN WAKE RED DEAD REDEMPTION SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION MASS EFFECT 2 LEFT 4 DEAD 2 THE ORANGE BOX PREY THE DARKNESS DEAD SPACE OBLIVION not sure why this happens (or if this is just my unit) but i figured i’d post this
