I got this to play Rock Band, and I must say the extra cymbal is a must for the Ion Drum Rocker. I highly recommend to anyone considering the Drum Rocker to also purchase the extra cymbal!

So it works flawless for a while. Of course 4 days after the 30 day warranty runs out it breaks.

On the underside of the cymbal is ridget plastic, you see all those little screws? well they are running through shafts up to the cymbal. I was getting double hits and it sounded really hollow, finally after I had tried everything I opened it up to find every single shaft that the screws go through broken off.

This happend through normal wear, I’m female so you know I’m not slamming these things as hard as a guy would.

My advice, stay away from ION cymbals, go w/ the Pintech for your spare and when you need to replace a the cymbals that come w/ the Drum Rocker replaces them w/ the Pintech.

Not much to say, it works like expected if you set them up right.

I’m not sure if most people realize this or not but the cymbals have a channel that they sit in and if you look under the cymbal you will see that they are designed to go up and down in only one direction (unlike true cymbals which can bounce any direction). I was having a lot of problems with double hits or hits that didn’t register but after I lined up the cymbal so that when I hit it, they rock straight up and down and not sideways the problems mostly went away. I also found that I have to have them tightened up properly as well, which is a slight pain because they constantly loosen up due to all the hits.

I have also noticed that this new one is less noisy than the originals that came with my set..
