There are multiple reasons, first off it makes load times quicker and makes your game run overall faster. Secondly, it makes the system noticeably quieter while your playing the game. Thirdly, your system will be cooler while running so there is less of a chance your console will overheat. And lastly, it can usually play scratched discs after you install it to your hard drive.

hey is there a limit on how many games you can install to your harddrive? i have a 120gb harddrive and its like it only allows me to download 2 games worth of memory before everything starts freezing or saying “cannot read disk”

I basically destroyed the outer edge of my cod mod 2 disc I tried doing this, but it only got to 50% then stopped. If I borry one of friend’s games and download it. Will I still be able yo play on my destroyed disc? Btw everytime I try to play it, it gets tothe infidity logo and stops

well if your disc is broken no but if its scratched yes. Borrow MW 2 from a friend and install it to your hardrive and you can use your scratched copy to play.
As long as the Xbox can read what game is in the disc tray you can play it

my mw2 is scratched badly and so wat if i borrow my friends disc and install it into my harddrive, and put in my broken cd into my xbox 360, can i still use my cd to play it? or will it not work?

I think even if you somehow scratch or stuff your disk it can still play off the hard drive if your lucky enough that the xbox30 picks up the scratched disk.

They Make it so you can’t just go run around and copy the disc without buying it so you need the disc at proof of ownership

The xbox still requires a disk to play regardless whether you have or haven’t installed the game onto your HDD.
But, it only needs the disk as proof of purchase. And determine whether the console is mod’ed.
Installing a game onto your Hard drive dramatically reduces the noise the disk drive makes when playing a game.

One question.After installing your game into the hard drive,you can play it without the disc inside the xbox?I wish it could do that
