Why is my Xbox 360 freezing up soon as I start it up?

Within 20 seconds of starting up my xbox 360 it freezes up. It’s warranty is expired so i cant send it in. I have also tried the “X-Clamp” trick but that didnt fix it either. Anyone have any suggestions?

your xbox is on a way to disaster…you should just buy another Xbox 360, or just buy a PS3 when you save up some money. ps3 is much better because you can download movies, music, and games. plus you don’t have to pay for that extra stuff.

Trust me, just take off the cover and clean it with compressed air in a can. Then try playing it with out the cover (Big plastic white thing around it)

well i see what it is doing, it is trying to install a update, leave it on for around 2 hours and an update may start, it is either that or it is glitching up making it useless.
